"(CheckOFSIConnection) 8900: Invalid login or password" when setting company as default after upgrading to Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 4.10

After upgrading from version 4.05 to version 4.10, the error message "(CheckOFSIConnection) 8900: Invalid login or password" when attempting to login to FRX or setting company as default after upgrading to Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 4.10.

1. Check and make sure that under the ROLE maintenance tab # 3 - module options - that the option for General Ledger  - Enable FRX Access is checked (Note: It usually is if you have been using FRX for a while - but this is good to check nonetheless).

2. Access the Library Master - Main - Company Maintenance (enter in your 3 character MAS 90 / MAS 200 company code) - verify that under tab #2 Allow External Access IS CHECKED (Note: This is the most likely solution).

Additional information may be found in this informative Sagetalk Thread (login to the Sage Online System required)

In many instances it may be required to create a new DSN connection for each workstation accessing FRX. Remember that these DSN connections must be created on a workstation by workstation case and they are not shared.
